Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. (For those participants that start at 10:15 am, we open the doors at 10 am.)
These 15 minutes are VERY important to ensuring you can enjoy your visit without feeling rushed, and to keep our day running smoothly.
Your official appointment does not include the time needed to complete the following tasks:
- Settle-in, ask questions.
- Sign your waiver(s) and receive your safety glasses.
- And most importantly... choose your colours!!!
Choosing your colours
This must be completed before your instructor comes to escort you to the studio.
Choosing your colours is exciting, but it can also be very challenging for some - so the more time you give yourself the better.
We offer 25+ colours to choose from - a variety of opaque, translucent, and even glittery options. (We recommend 3-5 colours per ornament.)
You'll need to consider what colours work well together and what ratio of each colour you want to use. It helps to consider where you plan to hang your piece when it's done. Once you have a colour-scheme in mind, then you will physically combine the colours into a container to prepare for the experience.
ur staff is there to offer advice and support, and we have a showroom set-up so you can browse colour-combinations on finished pieces before you choose, but please keep in mind that we cannot predict the outcome of any piece - the mystery and the reveal is part of the fun!
We used a separate, sanitized mouth piece for each participant.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes after your appointment is officially scheduled to begin, your 15 minute appointment will be forfeited and treated as a no-show. (No-shows and same-day cancellations will not receive a refund.)
If we can accommodate you later in the day we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee space for late arrivals.
All Participants must wear full-coverage shoes and long pants.
Long hair should be tied back.
Safety glasses (provided) must be worn in the warehouse and studio at all times - if you have your own you are welcomed to bring them.
With the exception of head, neck, and arms, all participants should be fully covered. T-shirts and tanks tops are acceptable but please avoid crop tops as well as pants or shoes that expose the foot or ankle. Running shoes/sneakers are ideal.
Some people bring a change of clothes so they don’t have to wear long pants all day in the warmer months. We do have washrooms where you can change; just make sure you arrive with extra time for this (on top of the original 15 minutes requested for choosing your colours).
If you booked on behalf of another participant or group, it is your responsibility to pass on all participation requirements to anyone joining you, before arriving for the experience.
The Glass Blowing Experience takes place at our Head Office/ Studio location: 530 Dickson Drive, Fergus, N1M 2W7. (Follow the sidewalk around to the “Glassmakers Gallery” entrance.)

Last appointment of the day
Please remember that the showroom closes at 5:00 pm. If you think you will need to arrange shipping, or want time to browse for a possible purchase please arrive earlier than our requested 15 minutes, as the store will be closed when you exit the studio.
This is a wheelchair accessible experience. There are no stairs, and spatially we try to keep all spaces wide open for easy mobility, however, the building does not have automatic doors.
Washrooms are available.
Water dispensers are available, but you must bring your own refillable bottle.

Cancellations must be made 72 hours (3 days) prior to your event to receive a refund.
(Exceptions may be made for special circumstances).
